Auxiliary control for pressure regulator.
The subject of the invention is a Hufs control for pressure regulators, which actuates the regulator valve when a certain maximum pressure and a certain minimum pressure are reached. Auxiliary controls are already known which each consist of a weight-loaded or spring-loaded piston for setting the maximum pressure and a second, independent piston for regulating the minimum pressure.
The auxiliary control according to the invention allows a significant simplification compared to the previously customary devices. Instead of two control pistons, only a single control piston is used in conjunction with a ball valve. The load on the control piston can be generated by weight, gas or liquid pressure or by the effect of centrifugal force.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is shown in section.
With a the housing is designated, b is the control piston, which is loaded by an arbitrarily adjustable weight c. The valve ball cl is located in a recess it of the exchangeable valve

the recess t, so that a throttle point g for the pressure medium (air) is present in the horizontal center plane between the ball and the side wall of the recess.
The line h connected to the lower end of the housing a by means of a threaded plug o drilled through is connected to the consumption network, the line i to the regulator, not shown.
EMI1.2
Height of the line i arranged outlet opening referred to, which the connection with a room of lower pressure, z. B. with the atmosphere.
The described auxiliary control works in such a way that when the pressure in the line h rises to a certain value, which corresponds to the load c on the control piston b, the valve ball cl pressed by the latter onto its seat and thus the piston b is raised. The throttle point g has the effect that the consumption pressure over the entire surface of the lower hemisphere quickly leads the piston to its highest position. The connecting line In is now blocked by the piston b
EMI1.3
The control piston b only remains in its highest position until the pressure acting on it from below has decreased so far that the weight c is able to push the piston b downwards again. The valve ball then closes the bore t again and the control piston b releases the line m leading into the atmosphere. The pressure in the regulator drops back to a lower pressure, e.g. B. to atmospheric pressure. By exchanging the valve seat e for one with a different bore diameter and at the same time changing the weights c or the piston load, the maximum and minimum pressure can be set to any value.
Instead of the weight c, an organ under gas or liquid pressure, e.g. B. a piston or the movable sleeve of an inertia regulator can be used.
