Device for climbing on ropes.
The invention relates to devices for climbing on ropes with holders having two hand and foot rests and consists in that sleeves which are pushed onto the rope and have a pair of inclined slots for receiving the rope and rolling up and down are used as holders bolts clamping down under load and a pair of openings for attaching loops, stirrups, etc. Like. Are provided.
An example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing.
The device according to the invention consists of two sleeves 1, in which two opposite one another
Sides are provided with slits 2 running diagonally upwards. A clamping pin with protruding handles 3, which has the task of allowing the sleeve to be easily pushed onto a continuous rope 4, leads through the slots. The sleeves are provided with an opening 5, which allows the attachment of foot holders 6 in the form of loops, foot straps, etc.
When the foot is inserted into the holder, the weight of the body exerts a downward pull and thereby the clamping pin is rolled up into the inclined slot by the friction of the rope until the rope is clamped 7. In this way, the weight of a person resting with one foot in the holder provided will find a secure hold. At the same time, it is possible to move the second unloaded sleeve comfortably higher by the reach of the rope and, by shifting the body weight in this foot holder, to achieve the effect described above and thus to get higher on the rope step by step.
By pulling the clamping pin back to the lower end of the slot of the unloaded sleeve, it can be easily pushed off the rope, and the clamping pin comes into effect again when the body weight is shifted into the corresponding foot holder. This reciprocal effect also makes it possible to get off the ropes.
