Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Process for the manufacture of personal care products.
It is already known, means for body care, such as skin cream u. Like. To produce with an addition of vegetable oils. For example, a skin cream is known whose main component is cottonseed oil. To make this oil particularly effective, i. i. To activate it, it was necessary to expose it to ultraviolet radiation before processing. This irradiation makes the finished product more expensive. In addition, the oil does not contain the water-soluble vitamins and salts that are particularly important for health care.
It has been shown that the water-soluble vitamins, nutrient salts and proteins remain in the yellow pulp after the cottonseed has been de-oiled. The purpose of the invention is to make these vitamins and nutritional salts usable in a simple manner for the care of the human body. To achieve this goal, cottonseed is used according to the
Peeling and de-oiling are finely ground, finely divided in water or water-containing liquids by stirring, washed out and then filtered off.
If you use water to extract, you get a liquid that looks like a light egg yolk solution and can be thickened and dried with care. The extract can also be sent and stored in this state.
For the preparation of healing baths, for example, water-permeable sacks are filled up to halfway with a total of 1 kg of cottonseed meal and hung in the bath water and moved back and forth. The effective water-soluble components of cottonseed meal (approx. 29'40 / 0) are washed out or leached out. Wheat bran, with its low vitamin content, is an advantageous addition to baths, so is cottonseed flour with its much higher vitamin content and richness in salts. In addition to the water-soluble A, B, C and E vitamins, about 3.3% phosphoric acid, 3% aluminum and 0.14% magnesium also dissolve.
The water-soluble vitamins of cottonseed can also be used in light alcohol or alcoholic liquids for cosmetic purposes for the care of the body and health. They invigorate skin cells and nerves in a remarkable way.
The value of oils for body care, including the above-mentioned oil from the cottonseed itself, is significantly increased by adding these water-soluble vitamins. Due to its fat-splitting effect, the oil is easily absorbed by the skin.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A process for the production of personal care products, characterized in that an extract obtained by leaching the cottonseed meal obtained after peeling, de-oiling and fine grinding is used as an additive in the production of personal care products, such as. B. baths, oils and alcoholic liquids.
