A, B und C erregt.

Protective device for multi-phase circuits.
It is known to split the currents or voltages of any three-phase system into two symmetrical systems, one of which (the system running in the same direction) represents the symmetrical component, the other (the opposing system) the asymmetrical component of the system.
In addition, a single-phase component occurs in every PI-ase in the event of an earth fault. This component is the same size in all three phases and has the same phase position. The sum of these last components is identical to the total current of the three-phase system or to the zero point voltage of the system.
With reference to the figure, Ja, Jb. Each denotes the currents which flow in the phase conductors A, B and C of any asymmetrical three-phase system. As explained above, these currents can be broken down into the following three component groups:
1. In co-rotating components, consisting of three equal currents, u. between one current each in a phase conductor, which are shifted from one another by 120 electrical degrees and have the same direction of rotation as the asymmetrical system under consideration. Accordingly, the current in phase conductor A contains the current component J ar, in phase conductor B the current component k2 J ar and in phase conductor C the current component k Jssi.
2. In opposing components that consist of three equal streams, u. between one current each per phase conductor, which are shifted from one another by 120 electrical degrees and have opposite directions of rotation as the asymmetrical system under consideration. Correspondingly, a current component J a2 flows in the phase conductor A, current component k J a2 in the phase conductor, and a current component k2 J a2 in the phase conductor C.
3. In total current components, consisting of three in-phase currents with one Jao current per phase.
The operator k denotes the rotation of a vector by 120, k2 the rotation by 2400. The current components mentioned above satisfy the following equations:

EMI2.1
In the event of a fault, the current components occur according to the nature and location of the fault, u. Between the various possible faults, the following results: In the case of a three-phase short circuit, there is no earth fault current, and since the three currents are of the same size and offset by 120 relative to one another, the opposing component and the total current component are zero. The accompanying current component represents the total resulting
Short-circuit current.
In the case of a simple short circuit, the total current component is zero because there is no earth connection, and only the synchronous and opposing components remain. These two components are of the same size, as are the two corresponding stress components.
In the case of a simple earth fault, the concurrent, opposing and total current components form the resulting short-circuit current. These three components are of equal size. The sum of the voltage components is zero.
In the event of a double earth fault, all components of the current occur. The total short circuit current is the sum of these three components, the various voltage components are in this
Case the same size.
Because of the different values of the current that occur in the possible faults, it is difficult to build relay protection devices that respond to predetermined fault conditions.
Has one z. B. Impedance relays set to a single short circuit between two phases, they will work in a different way when a double earth fault occurs; because, as can be seen from the previous considerations, the voltage with a short circuit is the same as with a double earth fault. However, the current is higher with a double earth fault than with a single short circuit. This increase in the current takes place by adding the total current components. The concurrent and opposing components of the current are the same in both cases.
The invention aims to enable such a current setting of the protective relay that the
The degree of excitation of such relays is the same for all faults that may occur. In order to achieve this, according to the invention, the total current component in the relay circuits is suppressed, preferably by means of a special shunt path which consists of suction transformers excited by the total current. The protective relays provided for each individual phase line are placed between the corresponding free ends of the secondary windings of current transformers arranged in the phase lines to be protected and a star point line of these transformers.
To the influence of
To make total current components on the protective relay ineffective, according to the further invention, a shunt is placed for each of the relays, which is influenced by the total current of the three-phase lines. The secondary windings of auxiliary transformers, whose primary windings are connected in series in the star point line of the main transformers, are preferably used as such a shunt.
The figure shows an application example of the invention for the protection of a three-phase system.
In the three phase lines A, B and a there are current transformers whose secondary sides are star-connected. From the secondary windings 11, 12 and 13 of these converters lead corresponding

converter is connected. Any common type of relay can be used as a protective relay. In particular, the invention can also be used for protection systems with impedance relays.
In the figure, the relays are shown schematically, u. between only the power connections for the relays are shown. The voltage coils are energized in some conventional manner according to the potential existing on conductors A, B and C. Under normal conditions in the circuit to be protected, the current coils of the relays are excited by the same currents that have the same phase position. When a fault occurs, for example a short circuit or earth fault, they are excited unevenly.
In the course of the star point line 2C, three current transformers 21, 22, 23 are arranged, which are excited by the total current flowing in the conductor 20. The transformation ratio of the converters 21, 22, 23 is chosen to be 3: 1, since the total current is made up of three components of the same size flowing in the individual phase lines, which must be passed by these current converters to the individual relays. One end of the secondary windings of these converters is connected to a star point conductor 20 by a conductor 24.
The free end of each secondary winding is connected to conductors 14, 15, 16 in such a way that the connection point between the corresponding relays 17, 18, 19 and the associated secondary windings 11, 12, 13 lies.
When an error occurs, with the exception of an even three-phase short circuit and a single-phase short circuit, the concurrent, opposing and total current components occur, among other things. between these flow in the direction shown in the figure. The total current components are caused to flow through the secondary windings of the auxiliary converters 21, 22, 23 to the star point conductor 20. The relays 17, 18, 19 are therefore only switched on in accordance with the current components of the corresponding phases which are running in the same direction and in opposite directions. A, B and C energized.

This method of isolating the total current components in a relay protection system ensures that a certain relay set responds with certainty, regardless of the type of fault occurring in the system.
