<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Fig. 4 shows the machine shortly before the switch-on position. The button a has not yet reached its lowest position. The current connection between the contact bridge h and the mating contact q is not yet established in this position, since the two lugs r of the bumper b prevent the contact lever g from moving in the direction of the arrow. Only when the button has almost reached its lowest position are the contact levers released and the springs t press the contact pieces h against the stationary contacts q with acceleration. At the same time, the rocker d is blocked by the roller k of the bumper b. The switch-on position according to FIG. 1 then results.
The machine is switched off in the event of a short circuit as follows: The core m is attracted and pushes the pin n upwards, whereby the release lever o is rotated about the axis p. During this rotation, the end of the release lever located under the roller k hits.
EMI2.1
under the influence of the centrifugal spring f by means of its attachments s, the contact levers g and consequently the contact pieces h are moved into the switched-off position. The spring f only has to accelerate the small masses of the rocker and the contact pieces, whereby a not inconsiderable increase in the cut-off speed is achieved.
Of course, the invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment.
It can of course be used with the same advantages on automatic installation switches of other types than the elements mentioned in the introduction. z. B. for switches with another actuator, such as push-button rocker arms or the like.
PATENT CLAIMS:
EMI2.2
of a safety element with electromagnetic and thermal release, in particular with push-button actuation, characterized in that the organs used for switching on and locking a switching bridge (h) are coupled to one another in such a way that both the electromagnetic release by the armature (m, n) and even when thermally triggered by a thermostat, a movable contact lever (g) that guides the contact bridge (h) and is resiliently coupled to a rocker (d) can snap back freely without other parts of the switching mechanism, e.g. B. to have to accelerate a switch-on device connected to the bumper (b).
