Die Erfindung hat zum Gegenstand eine Spannvorrichtung für auswechselbare stereotype Zeilen oder Letternsatz an Rotationsmaschinen.
Bei der Herstellung von Drucksachen mit gemeinsamen Text und unterschiedlichen Textteilen auf Rotationsmaschinen werden die veränderlichen Textteile in Form von stereotypen Zeilen oder Letternsatz in besonderen Spannvorrichtungen am Satzzylinder befestigt.
Die bekannten Spannvorrichtungen bestehen aus einer Unterlage, welche entsprechend dem Durchmesser des Satzzylinders gekrümmt ist und die Seitenbacken zur Aufnahme der Spannschrauben trägt.
Die gekrümmten Satz-oder Zeilenspannkästen haben den Nachteil, dass ihre Auswechslung umständlich und zeitraubend ist, wobei ihre Verwendung nur auf Satzzylinder von grossem Durchmesser beschränkt ist.
Erfindungsgemäss werden diese Übelstände dadurch beseitigt, dass die mit Seitenwänden zur Aufnahme der Spannschrauben für die Spannbacken versehene Unterlage der Spannvorrichtung in Form einer flachen Schiene ausgebildet ist, auf der eine gewölbte Leiste befestigt ist, deren Querschnitt ein Kreissegment ist. Die Segmentform der Leiste bewirkt, dass die keilförmigen und allseitig eben bearbeiteten Stereotypzeilen oder Lettern, die gegen die Leiste gespannt werden, mit dem Druckumfang des Satzzylinders übereinstimmen. Entsprechend dem Durchmesser des Satzzylinders ist die Leiste auswechselbar angeordnet.
In den Zeichnungen ist die Spannvorrichtung mit den stereotypen Zeilen nach der Erfindung in beispielsweiser Ausführung veranschaulicht, u. zw. ist Fig. 1 eine Seitenansicht der auf einem Nebensatzzylinder angebrachten Spannvorrichtung zum Halten der Zeilen, Fig. 2 stellt eine Draufsicht der Spannvorrichtung dar, Fig. 3 ist ein Schnitt durch die Vorrichtung und den Nebenzylinder, Fig. 4 und 5 zeigen die Typenzeilen in Seitenansicht und schaubildlicher Ansicht.
Der Satzzylinder 1 ist längs seiner Achse abgeflacht und die entstehenden Ecken 2, 3 der flachen Aussparung sind schwalbenschwanzförmig ausgebildet. Die Spannvorrichtung 4 hat die Form einer flachen Schiene, deren Enden ebenfalls schwalbenschwanzförmig und in die Aussparungen 2, 3 des Zylinders genau passend gemacht sind. Die Seitenwände 5, 6 der Spannvorrichtung 4 sind mit Führungsbolzen 7,8 für die Spannbacken 9, 10 sowie mit Spannschrauben 11, 12 versehen. Die auswechselbaren Stereotypzeilen (Fig. 4 und 5) sind an den oberen Querkanten mit Facetten versehen und so bemessen, dass sie zwischen den gelockerten Spannbacken 9, 10 leicht hineinpassen und von ihnen fest und sicher gehalten werden, wenn die Spannschrauben 11, 12 angezogen sind.
Die richtige Höhe der Schrift am Umfange eines Zylinders wird durch die an der Spannplatte 4 befestigte gewölbte Leiste 13 vom Querschnitt eines Kreissegmentes, gegen die die Stereotypzeilen angepresst werden, gewährleistet.
Die gewölbte Leiste 13 kann durch eine entsprechende Wölbung der Schiene der Spannvorrichtung 4 entbehrlich gemacht werden. Indessen hat die gesonderte Anordnung der Leiste 13 den Vorteil, dass sie ausgewechselt werden kann und in gewissen Grenzen eine Änderung des Durchmessers des Bahnkreises der Schrift in derselben Spannvorrichtung gestattet. Durch die Anordnung der Spannvorrichtung längs der Achse des Satzzylinders ist das Herausnehmen und Einsetzen der Spannvorrichtung mit der Schrift ausserordentlich vereinfacht.

The known clamping devices consist of a base which is curved according to the diameter of the set cylinder and which carries the side jaws for receiving the clamping screws.
The curved sentence or line clamping boxes have the disadvantage that their replacement is cumbersome and time-consuming, their use being limited only to sentence cylinders of large diameter.
According to the invention, these inconveniences are eliminated in that the base of the clamping device, which is provided with side walls for receiving the clamping screws for the clamping jaws, is designed in the form of a flat rail on which a curved bar is attached, the cross section of which is a segment of a circle. The segment shape of the bar ensures that the wedge-shaped stereotype lines or letters, which are evenly processed on all sides, which are stretched against the bar, correspond to the printing scope of the typesetting cylinder. The bar is arranged to be exchangeable according to the diameter of the set cylinder.

The set cylinder 1 is flattened along its axis and the resulting corners 2, 3 of the flat recess are dovetail-shaped. The clamping device 4 is in the form of a flat rail, the ends of which are also dovetail-shaped and made to fit exactly into the recesses 2, 3 of the cylinder. The side walls 5, 6 of the clamping device 4 are provided with guide pins 7, 8 for the clamping jaws 9, 10 and with clamping screws 11, 12. The interchangeable stereotype lines (Fig. 4 and 5) are provided with facets on the upper transverse edges and dimensioned so that they easily fit between the loosened clamping jaws 9, 10 and are held firmly and securely by them when the clamping screws 11, 12 are tightened .
The correct height of the writing on the circumference of a cylinder is ensured by the arched strip 13 fastened to the clamping plate 4 and having the cross-section of a segment of a circle, against which the stereotype lines are pressed.
The curved bar 13 can be made dispensable by a corresponding curvature of the rail of the clamping device 4. However, the separate arrangement of the strip 13 has the advantage that it can be exchanged and allows, within certain limits, a change in the diameter of the orbit circle of the font in the same clamping device. By arranging the clamping device along the axis of the typesetting cylinder, removing and inserting the clamping device with the script is extremely simplified.
