becomes. The bodies to be separated are fed to a system of endless conveyor belts provided with grooves corresponding to the diameter of the bodies, between which, according to the invention, ejectors rising out of their plane in the direction of rotation are arranged. Further configurations of the device are described below.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawing. 1 shows a front view of the device, FIG. 2 shows a plan view, FIG. 3 shows a section along the line 111-111 of FIG. 2, FIGS. 4 and 5 show a detail.
In the drawing, 1 is any feed belt; for the bodies that were previously separated according to the same diameter and now separated according to length. are eggless conveyor belts that run over two rollers 6.7. One or both rollers can be driven in any way. The tapes have grooves on their surface (Fig. 3), the diameter of which corresponds to the diameter of the bodies to be separated. Ejectors 8, 9, 10 rising out of their plane are arranged between the individual bands, u. between one another in the direction of rotation of the belts and offset from one another in the transverse direction of the belts (cf. in particular FIG. 2). The ejectors consist of sloping partition walls 8-10.
The walls 8-10 carry on them vertical, pointed lugs 8'-10 'tapering against the direction of rotation of the belts, and these again at right angles to them attached walls 8 "-10", which form an acute angle with the direction of rotation of the belts is advantageously not greater than about 250. The relationships are shown in the drawing to save space

perpendicular to the direction of rotation, and the grooves are closed off by a wall 11 at the end opposite to the side from which the bodies to be separated are fed.
The bodies to be separated are supplied by the device 1 in such a way that they come to lie in the grooves of the belts. Due to the inclination of the belts, they always reach the end of each groove, but are prevented from slipping out by the wall 11. You now wander with the bands in their Umlaufriehtung. If the length of a body is greater than the distance between the ejector 8 and the wall 11, the body is lifted out of the groove by the wall 8 and runs onto the shoulder 8 ′. The wall 8 ″ pushes the body outwards until it becomes overweight and falls out of the ligaments, which is supported by their inclination.
Thus, at a certain point, which is given by the position of the wall 8, all bodies which have a length greater than the distance between the walls 11 and 8 are separated out. A discharge funnel or the like can be provided at this point. The bodies of shorter length than the distance between the walls 11 and 8, but of greater length than the distance between the walls 11 and 9, are lifted out of the grooves by the wall 9 and separated out in the same way as described, as are those by the wall 10 Bodies which are longer than the distance between the walls 10 and 11, while the remaining bodies, which are therefore shorter than the distance 10-11, fall out of the grooves by themselves when passing over the roller 7.
The number of partitions and their distances may vary depending on the purpose. You can also replace a covering with grooves on the actual one
