Locking device for manually operated control elements.
For the operation of large electrical switchgear, it is essential to ensure the correct sequence of the necessary operations. In the proposals made so far for this purpose, the various drives are locked until they can be operated safely. The

correspondingly large energy expenditure. According to the invention, switching of the manually operated control elements is effectively prevented in that a folding flap controlled by a relay closes access to the control element as long as movement of the control element is to be prevented.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing.
The housing 1 has a cutout 2 through which a drive wheel (not shown) that can be slipped onto the stub shaft 3 is guided. This drive wheel is used to control any device. Instead of the stub shaft 3 and the special handwheel, a suitable other control element, a switch or a push button can also be provided. The cutout 2 and thus the access to the control element can be blocked by a drop flap 5. The disk 5 and the relay armature 4 are firmly connected to a rotatably mounted shaft 6. In the de-energized state of the magnetic coils 7, the disk falls as a result of its gravity and prevents actuation of the control elements. The relay armature and washer 5 are in the dot-dash position.
As soon as the magnetic coils 7 are excited, the armature 4 and thus. the disc 5 rotated into the dotted position in which access to the control member is released. The relay and drop flap can also be designed in a different way, and it is immaterial for the invention whether the access to the control element is blocked when the relay coils 7 are in an excited or de-excited state.
You can also attach weights or springs to the locking disk, which bring the disk 5 into the desired position when the magnet coils are de-energized.
In order to ensure that the individual relays are actuated depending on the position of the remaining relays when there are several interdependent control devices, the relays are

To record control transactions. The drop flaps can either be all closed or open or partially closed and open.
The apparatus to be controlled itself can be provided with auxiliary contacts which cause the relay coils 7 to be excited under the given conditions. It is also possible to use the auxiliary contacts 8 on the relay for remote display of the drop flap position.
In order to prevent damage to the device and to allow easy assembly, all parts are expediently housed in a common housing.
