Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

<Desc / Clms Page number 1>
Circuit arrangement for the optional connection of one of two subscriber stations located on a common line.
EMI1.1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
If, for example, station 7 is to be called, the receiver is first picked up and then the a-line is earthed for a moment through the earth connection of the fork. The relay Lrl is energized and holds through its right contact. The left contact of Lr1 excites the caller who is checking over his d-arm. If the arm finds a free line, the relay RI receives current of a certain polarity via the arms a, b of the caller AS. The armature of the relay RI picks up and the point is switched on.
She can choose and be automatically connected as if it were an independent participant in the office. During this time, station II cannot switch on because, after the election, the occupying relay Zr, which works jointly for both subscribers, has caused relay Tr to attract its armature, which makes it impossible for a call circuit to arise on both lines of the loop.
In the case of incoming connections, the loop line is given the desired polarity by the contacts of the line selector corresponding to each participant. After the connection has been established, the relay Tr picks up and prevents the switch-off relay of the station not being called from responding. So there is no way for them to get involved.
During the call, the participant who is not involved can neither hear nor disturb by lifting the handset. The temporary grounding of one or the other line merely strengthens the tightening of the relay holding the connection of the other subscriber and cannot possibly lead to the connection collapsing.
