Contact protection arrangement for GtI lamp sockets.
The subject of the invention is a further embodiment of the contact protection arrangement according to patent no. 111182, in which the circuit-related dependency between the manually operated switching device and the incandescent lamp is not, as described for example in the parent patent, brought about by two movable contacts, which are partly due to manual operation and partly can be controlled by the incandescent lamp, but the same is done by a locking member controlled by the incandescent lamp in connection with a spring-loaded manually operated switching device.
With this arrangement, the switching on and switching off movement of the contact device can take place instantaneously, as described below, for example, if the same is designed accordingly.
The momentary switching is not a requirement with this arrangement, but the switching movement can also take place slowly.
The new arrangement is shown in Figs. 1-6, u. zw. In Fig. 1 in a vertical longitudinal section through the socket insert, without jacket and socket base. 2-4, the switching mechanism is seen from above in various positions, and FIG. 5 shows the lower plan view of the socket insert. FIG. 6 shows a section transverse to FIG. 1 of some particular parts.

two nuts 7 and two screws 8 and 9 passed through the stone. The screws 8 and 9 are thus in conductive connection with the threaded sleeve 2. Within a rear hollow

the lever 10 are rotatably arranged on a shoulder of the screw 8 and the lever 11 on the shoulder of the screw 9.
The two mutually opposing movable lever ends are connected to one another by a tension spring 12 which is only visible in FIG. 1 because it is covered by the upper lever 11 in FIGS. 2-4. The movable end of the lever 10 comes into contact with the contact spring 6 in one of its end positions (FIGS. 3 and 4), so that this lever as a contact lever mediates or removes the connection between the threaded sleeve 2 via screw and contact spring 6. The pendulum movement of the contact lever 10 is brought about by the movement of the lever 11, since this moves the tension spring 12 over the pivot point 8 of the lever 10, so that the latter has to snap back and forth in a known manner.
The lever 11 is

is led out around the front of the socket casing 15, against the train of a spring 16 is moved. The latter always endeavors to return the lever 11 to the starting position (FIG. 2). By pulling the cord 13, the lever 11 is moved into the other end position and thereby snaps
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
also the contact lever 10 to the other side (Fig. 4). If the cord is released, the spring 16 pulls the lever 11 back and the switch lever 10 also follows momentarily.
This is the process of actuating the switch when the lamp is missing. In order to bring about a permanent switched-on position of the switching lever 10 when the lamp is screwed in, a leaf spring 17 is arranged below the lever 10, one end of which is fastened by means of the screw 8 and the other end of which is under spring tension in the direction of the incandescent lamp. The movable end of the leaf spring 17 is bent in the direction of the switch lever 10 and thus has a nose 18 which can grip behind the switch lever 10 as soon as it is in the switched-on position (FIG. 6). If the lamp is missing, however, the nose 18 does not reach behind the switching lever 10 because the leaf spring 17 is tensioned in the opposite direction and therefore does not touch the lever.
Only through the pressure of an insulating pin 19, which penetrates the center contact 3, is the spring 17 and its locking nose 18 pressed against the switching lever 10, in that the light bulb center contact pushes the pin 19 inwards.

by this when the incandescent lamp is loosened or removed, through which the pin 19 and the locking lug jM are moved back, also momentarily moved back into the switched-off position.
The permanent switch-on can therefore only take place after the bulb has been screwed in by the special manual operation, since in this case the switch lever can only be locked, while on the other hand, when the lamp is unscrewed, it switches off automatically - by releasing the switch lever lock.
