Bei den bisherigen Filzkappen, bei welchen Kopf und Schirm aus einem Stück bestanden, brauchte der Schirm eine besondere Versteifung, damit Form und Sitz erhalten bleibt.
Gemäss der Erfindung wird dies dadurch entbehrlich, dass der Schirm der Kappe in doppelter Stärke geformt wird, so dass er die gegebene Fasson beibehält. Hiezu ist der Formblock vorn mit einem Fortsatze entsprechend der Fasson des Mützenschirmes versehen und über sowie um diesen Fortsatz herum wird ein Stück des Mützendeckels gezogen, welches danach in besonderer Weise festgelegt wird.
Die Erfindung soll im folgenden gleich mit Bezug auf die beiliegenden Zeichnungen beschrieben. werden. Fig. l stellt den vorn mit einem Fortsatze in Form des Mutzenschirmes versehenen Formblock in schaubildlicher Ansicht dar. Fig. 2 zeigt denselben Formblock von oben gesehen, Fig. 3 zeigt, wie der Filzstumpen D aufgeblockt und geformt wird. Fig. 4 zeigt einen Schnitt nach Linie. 2-2 der Fig. 2.
Fig. 5 stellt die vom Formblock abgenommene Kappe oder Mütze im Schnitt dar. Fig. 6 zeigt den vorderen Teil des Blockes in Ansicht von unten. Fig. 7 stellt den vorderen Teil eines Blockes etwas mderer Ausführung im Schnitt dar.
Der Block A erhält eine dem Kopf der Mütze oder Kappe entsprechende Form und wild, wie liblich, aus mehreren voneinander lösbaren Teilen hergestellt. Gemäss der Erfindung wird vorn ein Fortsatz B entsprechend der Fasson des Schirmes vorgesehen, und oberhalb sowie unterhalb dieses Fortatzes wird je eine Nut b, bl eingearbeitet. Der eigens für den Schirm angebrachte Fortsatz B kann mit lern vorderen Teil a des Formblockes A gleich aus einem Stück hergestellt oder, wie aus Fig. 6 und 7 'rsichtlieh, getrennt angefertigt und an dem erwähnten Teile a mit Schrauben befestigt werden. Rings Im das Unterteil des Formblockes A wird in Verlängerung der Schirmnut b eine Nut al eingearbeitet.
Der Filzstumpen wird zur Formung des sogenannten Kopfes, aus welchem die Mütze hergestellt werden soll, auf bekannte Art und Weise zugerichtet und gewalkt, wobei aus demselben der für den Schirm bestimmte Teil in doppelter Länge herausgeschnitten wird.
Der Kopf D wird nun über den Block A gezogen, gepresst, der Form entsprechend angepasst und nit einem Bande bzw. mit einer Schnur d eingebunden. Diese Schnur schmiegt sich in die Nut bund vird rings um die mit al bezeichnete Nut herumgezogen. Der für den Schirm bestimmte Filzteil wird
