Abstract
En la presente se describe un proceso para la recuperación de un metal de una mena mediante el uso de una composición colectora. El proceso incluye poner en contacto la mena con la composición colectora. La composición colectora puede incluir compuestos que contienen azufre que comprende (i) mercaptanos que comprenden compuestos de C₁₀ mercaptanos ramificados seleccionados del grupo que consiste en 5-metil-1-mercapto-nonano, 3-propil-1-mercapto, heptano, 4-etil-1-mercapto-octano, 2-butil-1-mercapto-hexano, 5-metil-2-mercapto-nonano, 3-propil-2-mercapto-heptano, 4-etil-2-mercapto-octano, 5-metil-5-mercapto-nonano y combinaciones de estos; y (ii) sulfuros que comprenden C₂₀ sulfuros ramificados representados por la estructura R¹-S-R², en donde R¹ y R² son, cada uno independientemente, un grupo funcional derivado de una olefina, en donde la olefina comprende 5-metil-1-noneno, 3-propil-1-hepteno, 4-etil-1-octeno, 2-butil-1-hexeno o combinaciones de estos.
