Abstract

Claim 7: A method for producing a plant with herbicide tolerance, characterized in that it comprises the steps of: a) transforming a plant cell with the recombinant DNA molecule of claim 1 and; b) regenerating a plant from the transformed plant cell comprising the DNA construct. Claim 9: A method for expressing dicamba monooxygenase (DMO) or protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO), characterized in that it comprises transforming the recombinant DNA molecule of claim 1 into a plant cell. Claim 10: A method for controlling the growth of weeds in an environment where crops grow, characterized in that it comprises the steps of: a) planting a plant or seed comprising the recombinant DNA molecule of claim 1 in an environment where crops grow and b ) apply to the environment where crops are growing an amount of dicamba or a PPO-inhibiting herbicide effective to control weed growth.
