Abstract
Reivindicación 1: Una molécula de ADN recombinante que comprende una secuencia de ADN codificante de un péptido de tránsito de cloroplastos (CTP) unida operativamente a una secuencia de ADN codificante de una dicamba monooxigenasa (DMO) o una protoporfirinógeno oxidasa (PPO), caracterizada porque el CTP comprende una secuencia que se selecciona del grupo que consiste en SEQ ID Nº 1 - 3, y donde dicha secuencia de ADN que codifica un CTP está ligada operativamente a un promotor heterólogo funcional en una célula vegetal. Reivindicación 9: Un método para expresar dicamba monooxigenasa (DMO) o protoporfirinógeno oxidasa (PPO), caracterizado porque comprende transformar la molécula de ADN recombinante de la reivindicación 1 en una célula vegetal. Reivindicación 10: Un método para controlar el crecimiento de malezas en un entorno donde crecen cultivos, caracterizado porque comprende los pasos de: a) plantar una planta o semilla que comprende la molécula de ADN recombinante de la reivindicación 1 en un entorno donde crecen cultivos y b) aplicar al entorno donde crecen cultivos una cantidad de dicamba o un herbicida inhibidor de PPO eficaz para controlar el crecimiento de malezas.Claim 1: A recombinant DNA molecule comprising a DNA sequence encoding a chloroplast transit peptide (CTP) operably linked to a DNA sequence encoding a dicamba monooxygenase (DMO) or a protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO), characterized in that the CTP comprises a sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOs 1-3, and wherein said DNA sequence encoding a CTP is operably linked to a heterologous promoter functional in a plant cell. Claim 7: A method for producing a plant with herbicide tolerance, characterized in that it comprises the steps of: a) transforming a plant cell with the recombinant DNA molecule of claim 1 and; b) regenerating a plant from the transformed plant cell comprising the DNA construct. Claim 9: A method for expressing dicamba monooxygenase (DMO) or protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO), characterized in that it comprises transforming the recombinant DNA molecule of claim 1 into a plant cell. Claim 10: A method for controlling the growth of weeds in an environment where crops grow, characterized in that it comprises the steps of: a) planting a plant or seed comprising the recombinant DNA molecule of claim 1 in an environment where crops grow and b ) apply to the environment where crops are growing an amount of dicamba or a PPO-inhibiting herbicide effective to control weed growth.
