Abstract

Es una máquina picadora especialmente concebida para aprovechar el avance de la cosechadora y realizar al mismo tiempo el picado y recolección de la biomasa proveniente de las puntas de la caña de azúcar, tomando las hojas superiores y los cogollos de la plantación, de manera que se llevan a la práctica, simultáneamente, dos operaciones en una sola pasada, y con ello el aprovechamiento de dicho material picado para obtener biomasa para distintos propósitos tales como alimentación de animales de cría, así como también la producción de biocombustible de excelentes características fisicoquímicas, a la vez que se disminuye el porcentaje de los residuos agrícolas de cosecha (RAC). Se dispone en correspondencia del extremo de los brazos del despuntador de la cosecha de caña, fijado a un robusto soporte desde donde se proyecta en voladizo; siendo accionado por un motor hidráulico que, a través de mangueras flexibles, se vincula con la instalación hidráulica de la cosechadora y se comanda desde la cabina de la misma. El motor hidráulico es un motor a engranajes de 300 cc, equipado con circuito de alivio, funcionando como el actuador responsable de transformar el movimiento hidráulico del aceite en movimiento mecánico.
