Abstract
El cable eléctrico (10; 20) comprende: un conductor eléctrico (11, 21) rodeado con una capa eléctricamente aislante (12, 22) hecha de una primera composición polimérica que comprende: (a) cloruro de polivinilo como una primera matriz polimérica, (b) una cantidad de hasta 45 phr de un sistema plastificante que consiste en un plastificante de ftalato y un segundo plastificante seleccionado entre: adipato de dialquilo, sebacato de dialquilo o azelato de dialquilo, en donde el grupo alquilo contiene de 4 a 10 átomos de carbono; la primera composición polimérica tiene un índice de oxígeno limitante (LOI) de hasta 30%; y una cubierta exterior (13, 24), que rodea a la capa aislante (12, 22), hecha de una segunda composición polimérica que comprende: (i) una segunda matriz de polímero libre de halógeno; y (ii) una carga retardante de llama, inorgánica, libre de halógeno, en una cantidad adecuada para impartir propiedades retardantes de llama a la cubierta exterior (13, 24). El cable de la presente solicitud presenta propiedades de retardancia de llama, baja emisión de humo y resistencia al frío y es particularmente adecuado para la transmisión de energía de baja tensión o para telecomunicaciones.
