Abstract

Se describen plantas transgénicas que expresan uno o más péptidos IL-10R antagonistas y anticuerpos anti-IL-10R de dominio único que estimulan o modulan el sistema inmune y mejoran la fisiología gastrointestinal de un animal alimentado con plantas transgénicas o tejidos de ellas y los genes que codifican los péptidos IL-10R antagonistas y anticuerpos anti-IL-10R de dominio único. También se divulgan aditivos de alimentos para animales y el alimento para animales que incorporan las plantas transgénicas o tejidos de estas. Se brindan métodos para estimular o modular el sistema inmune de un animal, mejorar la fisiología gastrointestinal de un animal, mejorar el rendimiento del animal utilizando las plantas transgénicas o tejidos de estas, y tratar los animales infectados con un patógeno gastrointestinal.
