Abstract

Un método y un sistema para identificar un pozo objetivo. Un sistema para identificar un pozo objetivo puede comprender la colocación de una herramienta de exploración electromagnética en un pozo, transmitir un campo electromagnético en una formación, inducir una corriente de Foucault dentro de un pozo objetivo, medir un segundo campo electromagnético del pozo objetivo, calcular una posición o una orientación de un transmisor o un receptor con respecto a otra posición y calcular al menos un parámetro del pozo objetivo. Un sistema de exploración electromagnética puede comprender una herramienta de exploración electromagnética y un sistema de gestión de información. El sistema de gestión de información puede funcionar para calcular una posición y/o una orientación de un transmisor o un receptor con respecto a otra posición en la herramienta de exploración electromagnética dispuesta en un ensamblaje del interior del pozo y calcular al menos un parámetro de un pozo objetivo desde la posición u orientación calculada del transmisor y el receptor.
