Abstract

Un píxel de una imagen se preprocesa determinando al menos un límite de un valor de componente luma del píxel en un segundo color en base a una función de transferencia de un valor de luminancia lineal deseada del píxel en un tercer espacio de color. Se selecciona después para el píxel un valor de componente luma del segundo espacio de color dentro de un intervalo que comprende múltiples valores de componente luma del segundo espacio de color y está acotado por al menos un límite. Un color del píxel se representa por el valor del componente luma y dos valores de componente croma del segundo espacio de color. El preprocesamiento habilita la selección de un adecuado valor de componente luma para el píxel de un modo eficaz desde el punto de vista computacional, restringiendo la cantidad de valores de componente luma que están disponibles para el píxel particular.
