Abstract

Reivindicación 1: Un proceso para remover metal de un aceite de glicéridos con contenido de metales que comprende las etapas de: (i) puesta en contacto de aceite de glicéridos con contenido de metales que comprende una concentración total de metales de 10 ppm a 10000 ppm con un líquido iónico básico para formar un aceite de glicéridos tratado; en donde el líquido iónico básico comprende un anión básico seleccionado de hidróxido, alcóxido, carbonato de alquilo, hidrógeno-carbonato, carbonato, serinato, prolinato, histidinato, treoninato, valinato, asparaginato, taurinato y lisinato; y un catión amonio cuaternario orgánico; y (ii) separación del aceite de glicéridos tratado de un compuesto iónico que comprende el catión amonio cuaternario orgánico después de poner en contacto el aceite de glicéridos con el líquido iónico básico; en donde el aceite de glicéridos tratado tiene una concentración reducida de metales en comparación con el aceite de glicéridos contactado en la etapa (i); siempre que el aceite de glicéridos que se contacta no comprenda aceite de palma.Process to remove metal contaminants from glyceride oil and a refining process that incorporates them. A process where certain basic ionic liquids are used to treat glyceride oil. Claim 1: A process for removing metal from a metal-containing glyceride oil comprising the steps of: (i) contacting metal-containing glyceride oil comprising a total metal concentration of 10 ppm to 10,000 ppm with a basic ionic liquid to form a treated glyceride oil; wherein the basic ionic liquid comprises a basic anion selected from hydroxide, alkoxide, alkyl carbonate, hydrogen carbonate, carbonate, serinate, prolinate, histidinate, threonate, valinate, asparaginate, taurinate and lysinate; and an organic quaternary ammonium cation; and (ii) separation of the treated glyceride oil from an ionic compound comprising the organic quaternary ammonium cation after contacting the glyceride oil with the basic ionic liquid; wherein the treated glyceride oil has a reduced metal concentration compared to the glyceride oil contacted in step (i); provided that the glyceride oil that is contacted does not include palm oil.
