Abstract

Se proporcionan plantas de tabaco modificadas que tienen niveles reducidos de nitrato, y productos de tabaco generados a partir de las plantas de tabaco modificadas con niveles reducidos de las nitrosaminas específicas del tabaco (TSNA).Se proporcionan, además, métodos para reducir las TSNA en los productos de tabaco al alterar la expresión de genes de la vía de asimilación del nitrato.
