Abstract

Un método para inhibir la formación de incrustación de sílice en un sistema acuoso, agregando un antiincrustante de polioxialquileno terminado en amina al agua usada en el sistema acuoso. Reivindicación 1: Un método para inhibir la formación de incrustación, de sílice en un sistema acuoso, que comprende agregar un antiincrustante al agua usada en el sistema acuoso, en donde el antiincrustante comprende un polioxialquileno terminado en amina. Reivindicación 2: El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde el sistema acuoso comprende un sistema de ósmosis inversa que incluye una membrana de ósmosis inversa, en donde el método comprende los pasos de: agregar el antiincrustante a una fuente de agua de alimentación que contiene sílice, y pasar el agua de alimentación resultante a través del sistema de ósmosis inversa, de tal manera que una porción pasa a través de la membrana de ósmosis inversa para producir una corriente de permeato que tiene una concentración reducida de sílice, la porción remanente del agua de alimentación formando una corriente de rechazo que tiene una concentración más alta de sílice.
