Abstract

Reivindicación 1: Un método para controlar malezas en un arrozal, método que comprende: a) tener arroz en el campo, donde el arroz es resistente a una pluralidad de herbicidas; y b) poner el arrozal en contacto con por lo menos uno de la pluralidad de los herbicidas a los cuales es resistente el arroz a niveles conocidos para la aniquilación de malezas. Reivindicación 4: El método de acuerdo con la reivindicación 3, en donde el arroz resistente es seleccionado del grupo de arroces integrado por las designaciones PL1214418M2-73009 (PTA-121398) y PL1214418M2-80048 (PTA-121362), son arroces derivados del arroz designado, por reproducción, cultivo de tejidos o transformación. Reivindicación 8: Un método para desarrollar arroz resistente a una pluralidad de herbicidas, los herbicidas comprenden inhibidores de HPPD y ACCasa, el método comprende: a) introgresar material genético que provoca la resistencia a los inhibidores de HPPD y ACCasa en las líneas de arroz; b) seleccionar progenie de las líneas introgresadas que demuestran la pluralidad de resistencia; y c) producir plantas endógamas o híbridas de la progenie. Claim 19: An isolated DNA molecule that provides resistance to the herbicides of HPPD, wherein the molecule is selected from the group consisting of the WG-id1002788 or WG-id1003490 markers on rice chromosome 1, BG-id2004662 or WG-id2003988 markers on chromosome 2. Claim 23: A herbicidal composition having improved activity for weed control in rice, the composition comprises an HPPD inhibitor herbicide mixed with an ACCase inhibitor herbicide, wherein rice plants are resistant to both HPPD and ACCase inhibitors.
