Abstract
Un método de extracción de metales preciosos de una mena polimetálica que comprende: a) generar hipocloritos a partir de una solución salina; b) cloración de la mena usando hipocloritos bajo condiciones ácidas; c) filtrar y recolectar una solución impregnada y tratar la solución impregnada para recolectar los metales preciosos; d) filtrar para separar los metales preciosos y una salmuera despojada; e) purificar la salmuera despojada; f) reciclar los halógenos de la salmuera purificada en la forma de hipohalitos formados por electrólisis de la salmuera purificada y que comprende hipoclorito e hipobromita; donde el paso b) comprende además despojar el exceso de halógenos usando hidróxido de calcio; el paso c) comprende tratar la solución impregnada con haluro / hipohaluro de calcio y el paso e) comprende aumentar el pH de la salmuera despojado por adición de hidróxido de calcio.
