Abstract

A method for servicing the drilling of a well in an underground formation comprising flowing a fluid to service the drilling of the well comprising an emulsifying composition (EC) through a portion of an underground formation, where the EC it comprises an emulsifier, a diluent and an agent for reducing viscosity and wherein the agent for reducing viscosity comprises 2-methyl-1-propanol, 2-methyl-2-butanol, a fatty acid amide, or combinations thereof; putting EC in contact with oil in situ within the formation to form an emulsion; and reduce the interfacial tension between water and oil and alter the wettability to provide a better recovery of oil from formation.
