Abstract
El presente se refiere en general a secadores de cosechas de ensayo y, más específicamente a un secador piloto para mazorcas de maíz, girasoles y otras cosechas de campo que es escalable para ajustarse a un amplio intervalo de producciones deseadas y flexible para acomodar el secado de una amplia gama de cosechas. El aparato es para secar material de plantas que comprende: un sistema de preacondicionamiento de aire para producir un suministro de aire tratado, un recipiente de secado que tiene un primer y segundo extremos y una cámara de recipiente para recibir operativamente el material de la planta, formando dicho recipiente una parte de un trayecto de flujo de aire; sensores de datos próximos al recipiente; controles de aire; y un trayecto de flujo de aire operativo para transportar el suministro de aire tratado a través del material de plantas dentro del recipiente de secado, bien en un flujo de aire ascendente, o bien en un flujo de aire descendente a través del recipiente, en el que se seca el material de plantas con dicho flujo de aire tratado.
