Abstract

La presente se relaciona con un aparato (1) para mejorar una señal de audio estéreo de un receptor de radio FM estéreo (10). Se sugiere emplear componentes de un decodificador estándar HE-ACC v2 (40) en dicho aparato (1) para recuperar eficazmente la señal de audio estéreo (L’, R’) mientras también se exhibe buena calidad de la señal. A tal fin, se cuantizarán parámetros estéreo paramétricos (15) y se presentarán a dicho decodificador (40) conjuntamente con una señal mono con configuración descendente (25). El decodificador (40) puede luego recuperar fácilmente los parámetros estéreo paramétricos (15) al decuantizarlos mediante una simple tabla de consulta, y finalmente crear la señal de salida estéreo (L’, R’) a partir de los parámetros estéreo paramétricos decuantizados y la señal mono con conversión descendente (25). El aparato (1) además incluye una etapa de estimación de parámetros (5) que otra vez puede realizarse sobre la base de los componentes del codificador estándar HE-ACC v2 (65). Después de estimar los parámetros estéreo paramétricos (15) y generar la señal mono con configuración descendente (25), el codificador (65) no utilizará codificación adicional a excepción de la codificación PS ya realizada. Un aparato (1) de acuerdo con la presente incluye, por lo tanto, de manera ventajosa componentes de decodificador (40) y/o codificador (65) de un códec estándar HE-ACC v2 utilizando sus capacidades para el procesamiento de parámetros estéreo paramétricos.
