Abstract

La presente solicitud esta relacionada con una composicion de reactivo concentrado descontaminador y un método relacionado util para la descontaminacion de reactores nucleares o componentes de los mismos. La composicion de reactivo concentrado es inyectada dentro del reactor nuclear, o un componente del mismo, para formar un reactivo diluido que comprende desde aproximadamente 0.6 a aproximadamente 3.0 gIL (2.1 - 10.3 mM) de EDTA y desde aproximadamente 0.4 a aproximadamente 2.2 g/L (2.1-11.5 mM) de ácido cítrico. La composicion y método de esta solicitud pueden ser usados efectivamente en procesos regenerativos para descontaminar un reactor, o un componente del mismo, con alta eficiencia sin causar significante corrosion a los componentes del sistema refrigerante.
