Abstract

A point-to-point network with a fixed prefix has a certain number of physical nodes. The nodes are logically divided into a certain amount of storage slots. By elimination, data blocks are encoded in original and redundant data fragments, and the resulting data fragments are stored in slots located in different physical nodes so that no physical node has more than one original and / or redundant fragment. The storage locations of all fragments are organized in a logical virtual node (that is, a supernode). In this way, the supernode and the original data block can be recovered even if some of the physical nodes are lost.
