Abstract
Una entidad que detecta la topología, tal como un OSS (Sistema de Soporte de Operaciones), un NMS (Sistema de Administracion de Red) o un RM (Administrador de Recursos), asociada con una red Ethernet que está configurada para ejecutar en método para descubrir la ubicacion topologica de nodos que se incorporan a la red. De acuerdo con el método, la entidad que detecta la topología recibe (paso 30) una notificacion acerca de un nodo nuevo que se ha incorporado en la red. A continuacion, la entidad que detecta la topología causa que (paso 31) un nodo existente inicie una deteccion de la ruta al nodo nuevo usando un protocolo de Administracion de fallas y conectividad Ethernet, CFM, tal como IEE 802.1 ag o ITU-T Y.1731. La entidad que detecta la topología recibe (paso 32) los datos de la ruta resultantes del nodo existente e identifica (paso 33), en base a los datos de la ruta, una posicion topologica del nodo nuevo en la red Ethernet. El método puede conducirse como instrucciones de programa almacenadas sobre un medio legible por computadora.
