Abstract
Un segmento de revestimiento de pozos para el uso en procesos de recuperacion de hidrocarburos. Se proveen un miembro de revestimiento externo elongado, habitualmente cilíndrico, y un miembro de revestimiento interno elongado ubicado en forma concéntrica dentro del miembro de revestimiento externo. An elongated, usually cylindrical, outer shell member and an elongated inner shell member provided concentrically within the outer shell member are provided. Hydrocarbon-enhancing catalyst is provided in the interstitial space between the two members. The outer cladding members may be threaded together. A sliding seal is provided between the outer shell and the inner shell, in order to accommodate the differential thermal growth between the two coatings. A process is also provided for the use of well casing segments having a hydrocarbon improver catalyst previously placed there, as well as a method for manufacturing a well casing segment.
