Abstract

Claim 1: Compounds of formula (1) wherein X is O, S, CR7R8 or NR9; R1 is ethyl, cyclopropyl, difluoromethoxy or trifluoromethoxy; R2 is optionally substituted aryl or optionally substituted heteroaryl; R3 and R4 are independently from each other, hydrogen, C1-3 alkyl or C1-3 haloalkyl, or R3 and R4 together with the carbon atom to which they are attached form a three to seven membered carbocyclic ring, optionally substituted once or twice times with C1-2 alkyl; R5, R6, R7 and R8 are independently of each other hydrogen, C1-3 alkyl, C1-3 haloalkyl, C1-3 alkoxy C1-3 alkyl, C1-3 alkylthio C1-3 alkyl, C1-3 alkyl C1-3sulfinylalkyl, C1 alkyl -3 sulfonylC1-3alkyl, C3-6 cycloalkyl in which a methylene group is optionally replaced with an oxygen or sulfur atom and where the ring is optionally substituted once or twice with C1-2alkyl or C1-2alkoxy, or R5 and R6 together with the carbon atom to which they are attached, or R7 and R8 together with the carbon atom to which they are attached form an optionally substituted three to seven member carbocyclic ring, in which a methylene group is optionally replaced with an oxygen or sulfur atom and where the ring is optionally substituted once or twice with C1-2 alkyl or C1-2 alkoxy, or R3 and R6 form a bond, when X is O or S; R9 is hydrogen, optionally substituted C1-3 alkyl or optionally substituted C3-6 cycloalkyl; and G is hydrogen or a group of metal, ammonium, sulphonium or latency acceptable for use in agriculture. Claim 14: A herbicidal composition, which, in addition to comprising formulation auxiliaries, comprises an effective amount of herbicide of a compound of formula (1). Claim 16: A method for controlling herbs and weeds in crops of useful plants, which comprises applying an effective herbicidal amount of a compound of formula (1), or of a composition comprising that type of compound, to the plants or to the locus from the same.
