Abstract
Se describen un método y aparato para realizar una recepcion discontinua (DRX) y mediciones por el enlace ascendente entre frecuencias y entre tecnologías de acceso de radio (RAT), en estado de CELL_FACH. Mientras se encuentra en modo DRX, una unidad de recepcion/transmision inalámbrica (WTRU) puede realizar mediciones entre RAT y entre frecuencias, en una ocasion de medicion que caiga dentro de un período de DRX. La WTRU puede realizar las mediciones mientras el temporizador T321 esté funcionando. La WTRU puede tomar las mediciones sobre el primer numero predeterminado de cuadro en el cual coincidiría un cuadro de DRX, después de un ultimo cuadro de recepcion, si la operacion de DRX estaba en marcha. La WTRU puede despertarse periodicamente para la recepcion por el enlace descendente en estado de CELL_FACH, de conformidad con un patron de DRX comun, que es comun a todas las WTRU de una celda, o puede despertarse de DRX al recibir la orden y al recibir un tráfico comun.
