Abstract
Una red de comunicaciones comprende una estacion de base (28) y una terminal inalámbrica (30) que se comunica con una trama (F) de informacion por una interfaz aérea (32). La trama (F) está preparada o procesada para adaptarse a símbolos de duracion acortada. La preparacion o procesamiento de la trama ocurre de una manera por la cual: (1) por lo menos algunos de los símbolos OFDM de la trama tienen una duracion de símbolo Tbase de acuerdo con una frecuencia básica 1/Tbase de subportadoras empleadas para la trama; y (2) por lo menos un símbolo OFDM de duracion acortada de la trama tiene una duracion de símbolo Tbase/N, donde N es un entero mayor que uno y donde un subconjunto de subportadoras se utilizan para la seleccion del OFDM, siendo el subconjunto de subportadoras las frecuencias que son enteros multiplos de una Nava armonica de la frecuencia básica 1/Tbase, En una realizacion ejemplificativa, el símbolo de duracion acortada se inserta en una porcion de la trama correspondiente a un espacio de transicion para por lo menos una version de la trama.
