Abstract

Técnica para proveer de manera selectiva un acceso a la red para diversos componentes. Un dispositivo modem para realizar esta técnica comprende un primer modulo de plataforma adaptado para soportar acceso a la red por intermedio de la tecnología RAT (Radio Access Technology, Tecnología de Acceso por Radio). El primer modulo de plataforma comprende una primera interfaz de datos. El aparato comprende además una segunda interfaz de datos adaptada para su acoplamiento a una segunda plataforma y una tercera interfaz de datos adaptada para su acoplamiento a un dispositivo externo. Un mecanismo de conmutacion acopla de manera selectiva la primera interfaz de datos a la segunda interfaz de datos de manera de proveer acceso a la red, por intermedio del segundo modulo de plataforma, a una aplicacion que reside en el aparato. El mecanismo de conmutacion puede además acoplar la primera interfaz de datos a la tercera interfaz de datos a efectos de proveer al dispositivo externo un acceso a la red.
