Abstract

La presente se refiere a un procedimiento para la recuperacion de amoníaco contenido en una corriente gaseosa de purga producida en un procedimiento de síntesis de urea, que comprende las siguientes fases: a) someter la corriente gaseosa de purga a un lavado con una solucion acuosa ácida, a un pH que oscila entre 1 y 6, con la formacion de una primera corriente gaseosa purificada y una solucion acuosa que contiene una sal de amonio; b) someter la solucion acuosa que contiene la sal de amonio proveniente de la fase a) a desorcion, después de tratamiento con una base fuerte, a una temperatura que oscila entre 50 y 250°C y una presion que oscila entre 1 y 40 bar absoluto, con la formacion de una segunda corriente gaseosa que comprende NH3, H2O y posiblemente CO2 y una solucion que contiene una sal del cation de dicha base fuerte; c) someter la solucion que contiene la sal del cation de la base fuerte proveniente de la fase b) a un Procedimiento Electroquímico de Membrana (PEM) con la formacion de una solucion acuosa del ácido usado en la fase a), una solucion acuosa de la base usada en la fase b) y posiblemente una solucion acuosa diluida de la sal del cation de la base fuerte; d) reciclar dicha solucion acuosa del ácido y la solucion acuosa de la base a la fase a) y a la fase b), respectivamente, y reciclar dicha segunda corriente gaseosa proveniente de la fase b) al procedimiento de síntesis de urea.
