Abstract
Recuperacion de metal precioso por lixiviacion con tiosulfato donde se genera in situ un lixiviante de tiosulfato empleando azufre elemental generado por la oxidacion parcial de una alimentacion sulfurosa que contiene metal precioso y/o empleando reactivos provenientes de los efluentes del proceso. Reivindicacion 1: Un proceso para recuperar metal precioso de un material sulfuroso que contiene metal precioso caracterizado porque comprende los pasos de: formar una lechada sulfurosa acuosa que contiene metal precioso que comprende el material sulfuroso que contiene metal precioso; someter la lechada sulfurosa que contiene metal precioso a una oxidacion parcial para producir una lechada oxidada que contiene metal precioso que contiene azufre elemental; neutralizar la lechada oxidada que contiene metal precioso que contiene azufre elemental; formar compuestos de tiosulfato en la lechada oxidada que contiene metal precioso haciendo reaccionar el azufre elemental proveniente de la oxidacion parcial con un reactivo que reacciona con azufre elemental para formar compuestos de tiosulfato para una lechada que contiene metal precioso que contiene un lixiviante a base de tiosulfato; lixiviar metal precioso de la lechada que contiene metal precioso para producir una lechada lixiviada que compende un residuo solido y lixiviado que contiene metal precioso; y recuperar metal precioso del lixiviado que contiene metal precioso.Recovery of precious metal by leaching with thiosulfate where a thiosulfate leach is generated in situ using elemental sulfur generated by the partial oxidation of a sulfur feed containing precious metal and / or using reagents from process effluents. Claim 1: A process for recovering precious metal from a sulfurous material containing precious metal characterized in that it comprises the steps of: forming an aqueous sulfur slurry containing precious metal comprising the sulfurous material containing precious metal; subject the sulphurous slurry containing precious metal to partial oxidation to produce an oxidized slurry containing precious metal containing elemental sulfur; neutralize the oxidized slurry containing precious metal containing elemental sulfur; forming thiosulfate compounds in the oxidized slurry containing precious metal by reacting the elemental sulfur from partial oxidation with a reagent that reacts with elemental sulfur to form thiosulfate compounds for a slurry containing precious metal containing a thiosulfate-based leach ; leaching precious metal from the slurry containing precious metal to produce a leached slurry that compensates for a solid and leached residue containing precious metal; and recover precious metal from the leachate containing precious metal.
