Abstract
Se trata de una herramienta para uso en explotaciones petrolíferas, que comprende un mandril sobre el que están tallados al menos tres pines en forma semi helicoidal, sobre los cuales pines se enroscan los pines de seguridad de bronce que se accionan unicamente en la operacion de librado, y están torneados tres escalones los cuales son alojamientos del mecanismo de traba que impide que el packer se vuelva a empaquetar luego de haber sido librado, facilitando con esto movimientos de tuberías mas seguros. Posee además tres fresados que alojan los extremos de al menos tres tornillos que impiden movimientos accidentales rotatorios durante la operacion de bajada. El mandril trabaja en forma combinada con el cabezal inferior lo que constituye un conjunto denominado mandril partido y su principal característica es que al ser accionado el mecanismo de librado trabaja como una union telescopica asegurando que los movimientos aplicados a la herramienta con la que se está operando no sean transmitidos a las ubicadas por debajo. Esta característica es lo que convierte a este packer en una herramienta efectivamente selectiva, y a diferencia de los packers actualmente utilizados el librado no depende de pines de bronce o acero de varios movimientos rotatorios.
