Abstract
Una regla analogica concebida para que los profesionales médicos puedan mensurar el dolor en un mismo paciente en diferentes tiempos o en distintos grupos de pacientes que reciben tratamientos diferentes. La regla comprende una pieza comparativamente plana (10) definiendo dos caras principales, anverso (11) y reverso (12), teniendo una de dichas caras una escala lineal (13) en la cual están definidos solamente la trayectoria y las marcas de ambos extremos (13 a) y (13b). La marca (13 a) representa ôno dolorö y la marca (13b) ôdolor máximo soportableö segun los parámetros del paciente. La cara opuesta de la regla tiene coincidentemente una escala (14) que posee igual configuracion y trayecto y está graduada, estando ambas escalas asociadas por un cursor (20) que está montado guiadamente en la pieza (10) entre dos topes (15) y (16) capaces de posicionar al unísono la senal indicadora visual (25) y (25') del cursor selectivamente con los extremos (13 a- 14 a) y (13b-14b) que son coincidentes de dichas escalas. La distancia desde la marca (13 a) hasta la marca dada por la posicion de la senal visual (25) en la línea (13) representa la intensidad del dolor y la marca coincidente (25') del cursor establece un valor numérico en la escala graduada (14).An analogical rule designed so that medical professionals can measure pain in the same patient at different times or in different groups of patients receiving different treatments.
