Abstract
La presente se refiere a un procedimiento para aumentar la resistencia fungica de plantas transgénicas, que se caracteriza porque se introduce en la planta una molécula de ácido nucleico recombinante que comprende una secuencia de ácido nucleico, que es homologa y/o complementaria con una secuencia de ácido nucleico de un hongo y que se transcribe en la planta, de manera que, cuando la planta se infecta con este hongo, la secuencia de ácido nucleico transcripta en la planta, que es homologa y/o complementaria con la secuencia de ácido nucleico del hongo o de partes de la misma, se integra de manera tal que la expresion de la secuencia de ácido nucleico del hongo es suprimida sustancialmente.
