Abstract
Un proceso para convertir alcanos gaseosos en hidrocarburos líquidos, en donde una alimentacion gaseosa que contiene alcanos se hace reaccionar con un vapor seco de bromo, para formar bromuros de alquilo y vapor de ácido bromhídrico. La mezcla de bromuros de alquilo y ácido bromhídrico luego se hace reaccionar sobre un catalizador de silicato de aluminio cristalino, sintético, tal como zeolita ZSM-5, a una temperatura de aproximadamente 150sC a aproximadamente 450sC, para formar hidrocarburos de mayor peso molecular y vapor de ácido bromhídrico. El propano y el butano que comprenden una porcion de los productos se pueden recuperar o reciclar mediante el proceso para formar hidrocarburos C5+ adicionales. Se describen diversos métodos para extraer el vapor de ácido bromhídrico a partir de hidrocarburos de mayor peso molecular y generar bromo a partir de ácido bromhídrico para su uso en el proceso.A process to convert gaseous alkanes into liquid hydrocarbons, where a gaseous feed containing alkanes is reacted with a dry bromine vapor, to form alkyl bromides and hydrobromic acid vapor. The mixture of alkyl bromides and hydrobromic acid is then reacted on a synthetic crystalline aluminum silicate catalyst, such as ZSM-5 zeolite, at a temperature of about 150sC to about 450sC, to form higher molecular weight hydrocarbons and steam of hydrobromic acid. Propane and butane comprising a portion of the products can be recovered or recycled by the process to form additional C5 + hydrocarbons. Various methods for extracting hydrobromic acid vapor from higher molecular weight hydrocarbons and generating bromine from hydrobromic acid for use in the process are described.
