Abstract

El oro contenido en el producto intermedio o residuo es lixiviado con cobre divalente y cloro en una solucion cloruro de cobre (II)-cloruro de sodio, en condiciones donde el potencial de reduccion de oxidacion fluctua entre los 650-750 mV y el pH oscila entre 1-1.6. El ácido generado durante la alimentacion de cloro se neutraliza con un álcali adecuado. La neutralizacion evita los costos de la disolucion del hierro.This is related to a method for recovering gold from an intermediate product or residue containing iron and sulfur generated in the leaching of a copper raw material. The recovery of gold and other valuable metals in the raw material takes place in a chloride environment. The gold contained in the intermediate product or residue is leached with divalent copper and chlorine in a solution of copper (II) chloride-sodium chloride, in conditions where the oxidation reduction potential fluctuates between 650-750 mV and the pH ranges between 1-1.6. The acid generated during the chlorine feed is neutralized with a suitable alkali. Neutralization avoids the costs of dissolving iron.
