Abstract

Una fibra aglutinante hidrofílica biodegradable. Estas fibras pueden ser producidas mediante el hilar en conjunto un material de poliéster alifático en una configuración de lado por lado con un polímero poliláctido para obtener una fibra con atributos de material mejorados. Un ácido multicarboxílico puede ser incorporado en cualquiera o ambos de los componentes de la fibra. El polímero de poliéster alifático puede ser seleccionado de un polímero de succinato de polibutileno, un polímero de succinato-co-adipato de polibutileno, o una mezcla de estos polímeros. La fibra bicomponente biodegradable exhibe propiedades biodegradables sustanciales, y tiene una estabilidad térmica mejorada y un encogimiento significativamente reducido. La fibra bicomponente puede ser usada en un producto absorbente descartable fabricado para la absorción de fluidos tales como los fluidos del cuerpo.
