Abstract

Proceso catalítico para producir peróxido de hidrógeno a partir de oxígeno e hidrógeno que comprende los siguientes pasos: A) el tratamiento de una suspensión acuosa de catalizador heterogéneo con una fuente de oxígeno y una fuente de hidrógeno; B) la separación del catalizador; y C) el aislamiento del peróxido de hidrógeno producido, donde dicho catalizador es una composición de la fórmula: [[(Y1O3-Z-Y2O3). K*p(X2/p-)]1-n(Y3O3R3)2nMe2]]*Pt*Pd donde Y1, Y2 e Y3 independientemente uno del otro, es fósforo o arsénico; Z es un grupo divalente que forma, reversiblemente, una forma reducida estable, dicho grupo contiene dos centros catiónicos conjugados que juntos tienen un valor E° red negativo; Me2 es un metal trivalente o tetravalente del grupo III, IVA o IVB con un número atómico de por lo menos 21 o un lantánido; X es un anión; n tiene un valor de 0 a 0,8; y p tiene un valor de 1, 2 ó 3; y R3 es un grupo cubierto no reducible.
