Abstract

Se describen compuestos surfactantes de fórmula general (1): R1(R2)X1CH2CH(OH)CH2(OA)nOR3 en donde: R1 es hidrocarbilo; R2 es H o hidrocarbilo; X1 es un grupo nitrogenado como se define en la descripción; R3 es hidrocarbilo; y X1, n y AO se definen como se indica en la descripción, siempre que al menos uno de los grupos R1, R2 o R3 sea o contenga un grupo hidrocarbilo C6-30. Los compuestos de fórmula (1) pueden funcionar como surfactantes en formulaciones agroquímicas, en particular como emulsionantes, agentes humectantes, dispersantes, espesantes o solubilizantes y, especialmente como adyuvantes; o como tales, especialmente para compuestos de óxidos de aminas o compuestos cuaternarios, en formulaciones para la higiene personal o como suavizantes para géneros. Los compuestos se pueden emplear como adyuvantes particularmente cuando el compuesto agroquímico es un regulador del crecimiento de las plantas, un herbicida y/o un pesticida, por ejemplo, insecticidas, fungicidas, acaricidas, nematicidas, miticidas, rodenticidas, bactericidas, moluscicidas y/o repeledores de pájaros. Las formulaciones particularmente útiles incluyen uno o más herbicidas solubles en agua, en particular aquellos tales como Glyphosate, Sulfosate, Glufosinate y Paraquat.
