Abstract

Se proporciona un proceso para fabricar un producto de papel celulósico. El proceso comprende formar una suspensión acuosa de fibras para hacer papel; depositar la suspensión acuosa sobre una tela formadora de hoja para formar un tejido húmedo; deshidratar el tejido húmedo para formar un tejido parcialmente deshidratado; aplicar tópicamente un compuesto de glicol seleccionado del grupo que consiste en polietilen glicol, trietilen glicol, glicerol y mezclas de los mismos al tejido parcialmente deshidratado; y secar dicho tejido húmedo. La presente también proporciona productos de papel celulósicos que exhiben un mal olor reducido con el humedecimiento.
