Abstract

Filtro de agua que comprende caja de filtro, varias paredes internas como pieza unitaria, de forma tubular, que dividen dicha caja en compartimientos axiales comunicados con la entrada y con la salida, adaptados para corriente paralela, medios de filtrado dentro de dichos compartimientos y un sistema de distribución de líquidos, de manera que el agua que entra se distribuye a todos los compartimientos al mismo tiempo para que corra paralelamente. Método de filtrado que utiliza dicho filtro, con agua de menos de 1,05 kg/cm2 (15 psi) y corriente por gravedad. Es útil con medios granulados, como carbón activado, que es hidrófobo. Se mejora la eficiencia y duración de los medios filtrantes, comparado con un solo compartimiento.
