Abstract
Un sistema y método para prestar servicios con conocimiento de dispositivo en una red de telecomunicaciones híbrida/integrada que tiene una porcion de red conmutada en paquetes(PSN) y una porcion de red conmutada en circuitos (CSN). Se provee un perfil de usuario que particiona un servicio en tres dimensiones: una parte de servicio específica de usuario, una parte de servicio específica de dispositivo y una parte de combinacion que especifica las condiciones de servicio cuando un usuario final emplea un dispositivo o terminal en particular. Se incluye una infraestructura de Servicios de Valor Agregado de telefonía IP comun, donde se proveen disparadores de servicios con conocimiento de dispositivo para disparar las particiones de servicios apropiadas del perfil de usuario. Al encontrar un disparador de servicio con conocimiento de dispositivos en un proceso de control de llamadas, un nodo de conmutacion de servicios consulta al perfil de usuario y determina las condiciones de servicio asociadas con la parte de servicio específica del dispositivo en particular que se debe invocar. En respuesta a determinar las condiciones de servicio, el nodo de conmutacion de servicio instruye a un nodo de servicio para ejecutar un Programa de Logica de Servicio apropiado. Al recibir un resultado o una indicacion del mismo del nodo de servicio, el nodo de conmutacion de servicio emprende una accion de servicio correspondiente.
