La porción trasera tiene un primer extremo y un segundo extremo. La porción trasera está dividida en una primera sección y en una segunda sección. La primera sección es extensible en una dirección transversal y tiene una longitud L₂ medida en forma perpendicular desde el primer extremo de la porción trasera a una línea trazada en forma paralela a dicha longitud. La segunda sección tiene una longitud L₃ medida en forma perpendicular desde el segundo extremo de la porción trasera a la línea trazada en forma paralela al primer extremo. La segunda sección tiene un primer borde lateral, un segundo borde lateral, una primera área A₁ y una segunda área A₂. La primera área A₁ representa un área delimitada por los bordes laterales primero y segundo, el segundo extremo, y la línea trazada paralela al primer extremo. La segunda área A₂ representa un área delimitada por las líneas primera y segunda , el segundo extremo, y la línea trazada paralela al primer extremo. Las líneas primera y segunda están trazadas perpendiculares al segundo extremo en puntos donde los bordes laterales primero y segundo se intersectan con el segundo extremo. Las líneas primera y segunda se intersectan con la línea trazada paralela al primer extremo. La segunda sección tiene una relación A₁/A₂ que oscila entre alrededor de 1,3 y alrededor de 3,5. The crotch portion joins the front portion to the rear portion. The rear portion has a first end and a second end. The rear portion is divided into a first section and a second section. The first section is extensible in a transverse direction and has a length L₂ measured perpendicularly from the first end of the rear portion to a line drawn parallel to said length. The second section has a length L₃ measured perpendicularly from the second end of the rear portion to the line drawn parallel to the first end. The second section has a first side edge, a second side edge, a first area A₁ and a second area A₂. The first area A₁ represents an area bounded by the first and second side edges, the second end, and the line drawn parallel to the first end. The second area A₂ represents an area bounded by the first and second lines, the second end, and the line drawn parallel to the first end. The first and second lines are drawn perpendicular to the second end at points where the first and second side edges intersect with the second end. The first and second lines intersect with the line drawn parallel to the first end. The second section has an A₁ / A₂ ratio that ranges between around 1.3 and around 3.5. The first and second fasteners are secured to the rear portion. An absorbent is secured to at least one of the front, back or crotch portions. Each of the first and second fasteners are detachably attached to the front portion to form an article similar to a pump that has a waist opening and a pair of leg openings.
