Abstract

A flexible backrest is connected to the backrest frame in upper and lower locations and is provided with lumbar adjustment for improved lumbar strength / support and shape. A seat with seat depth adjustment and active and passive muscle flexion support is provided. A novel energy mechanism is provided which includes a sliding element adjustment of the moment arm to adjust the tension of the spring on the backrest frame. The sliding arm adjustment element of the moment arm is easily adjustable and includes a device against excessive torsal moment to avoid deterioration to components of the energy mechanism.
