Abstract

Se aplica un tratamiento a un material fibroso, tal como una fibra mineral, fibra de vidrio, fibra basáltica, etc. mediante un método que implica eltratamiento de una pluralidad de trozos fibrosos, discretos, y cada uno de los trozos comprende una masa de fibras enmaranadas, por medio de una acciongiratoria mecánica tal, que cada trozo forma una célula fibrosa, redonda y más densa, con aire atrapado. Las células presentan propiedades que las hacen másutiles para una amplia gama de aplicaciones.En particular, el aire atrapado de las células significa que las células presentan propiedades de aislamiento,térmico y acustico, util en muchos contextos.
